Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 September 2026
Eventigo (“we”, “us” or “our”) operates eventigo.my and its related mobile web app. Eventigo helps couples and event organizers find vendors, request quotations, plan events, and book services. Vendors use Eventigo to publish listings and respond to customers. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, when it is shared, and how you can make a privacy request.
1. Information we collect
- Account details: your name, username, email address, telephone number, account type, login details and profile photo, if provided.
- Planning details: a wedding date or other event date, event name, location, budget, guest information, saved vendors, checklist items, and other information you choose to enter in your dashboard.
- Marketplace activity: quotation requests and replies, messages, bookings, orders, reviews, uploaded photos and other content you submit.
- Vendor details: business and contact information, listings, services, pricing, and payment or payout records where applicable.
- Technical and security data: IP address, device and browser information, cookies, login activity, and information needed to detect abuse and keep the service working.
- Payment records: order amounts, payment status and transaction references. An external payment provider may collect the details needed to complete a payment. We do not normally receive full payment-card or online-banking credentials from that provider.
2. Sign in with Google
If you choose Sign in with Google, Google asks you to authorize access before sharing account information with Eventigo. For the Google sign-in function, Eventigo may receive the Google account identifier, name, email address and profile image made available through the permissions you approve. We use these details to identify or create your Eventigo account, sign you in, display your profile, and help prevent duplicate or unauthorized access. If this creates a new Couple account, you can add your wedding date later in My Profile. Google does not provide Eventigo with your Google password.
Eventigo stores the information needed to keep your Eventigo account and link it to your Google sign-in. Google account information received for sign-in is used to provide and secure your account; we do not sell that information or use it for targeted advertising. We do not use Google sign-in data to train generalized artificial intelligence models. We do not access your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts or calendar as part of Google sign-in. If Eventigo requests any additional Google permissions in the future, we will explain the new access and update this policy before using it.
You can manage or revoke Eventigo’s Google access in your Google Account permissions. Revoking access stops future Google sign-in authorization but does not automatically delete your Eventigo account or its existing records. To request deletion of your Eventigo account or the Google information linked to it, use the contact method in Section 12.
3. How we use information
We use information to register and authenticate accounts; operate profiles and planning tools; display vendor listings; send and answer quotation requests; enable messaging, bookings, orders and payments; deliver account, booking and security notices; respond to support requests; investigate misuse; maintain and improve the service; and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Marketing messages, where sent, include a way to unsubscribe. Service or security messages may still be sent to account holders.
4. When information is visible or shared
Vendors may receive the contact details, event requirements and messages you submit with a quotation or booking so they can respond and fulfil the service. Customers may see the business details, listings, prices and information a vendor chooses to publish. Other participants can see content you post publicly, such as reviews. Do not include information about someone else in a public listing or message unless you are authorized to share it.
We also disclose information to providers that help operate Eventigo, such as website hosting, email delivery, authentication, fraud protection and payment processing, to the extent needed for their service. We may disclose information where required by law, to protect users or our service, or in connection with a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell Google sign-in data to third parties or disclose it to data brokers or advertisers.
5. Payments and external services
Payment transactions may be handled by Billplz or another payment provider displayed at checkout. That provider processes payment information under its own privacy terms; Eventigo keeps the order and transaction information needed to manage the booking, payment, refund or payout. Eventigo may use third-party services for sign-in, security checks, maps or other visible functions. Their separate privacy terms may apply when you use those services.
6. Cookies and app storage
Eventigo uses cookies and similar browser storage to maintain login sessions, remember settings and support website security and essential functions. Where enabled, analytics may help us understand site performance. Browser or device settings can limit cookies, but doing so may prevent login or parts of the dashboard from working correctly.
7. How we protect information
We use HTTPS to transmit data, account permissions to limit access, and technical and organizational measures intended to protect stored information from unauthorized access or disclosure. Passwords used for Eventigo accounts are handled by the site’s authentication system rather than displayed in plain text. Only people and service providers who need information for the purposes described above should be given access. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
8. How long we keep information
We keep account and Google sign-in information while the account remains active and for as long afterward as reasonably necessary for security, disputes, legal duties and recordkeeping. Messages, orders, transaction records and vendor records may be retained longer where necessary to document a service or comply with applicable requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it where reasonably possible. Backup copies may remain until the normal backup rotation completes. If a deletion request cannot be fully fulfilled, we will explain what must be retained and why.
9. Your choices and privacy requests
You may review or update available profile and event details in your dashboard. You may also ask us to access, correct or delete personal information, including information obtained through Google sign-in, by sending a request through our Contact Us page. Include the email address associated with your Eventigo account and state what you would like us to do. We may need to verify that you control the account before acting. We will respond under applicable law and may retain transaction or security records where required.
Deleting an Eventigo account can remove access to planning information, quotations, bookings and vendor tools. Revoking Google access alone does not cancel bookings or delete those records.
10. Children’s privacy
Eventigo is not designed for children to create accounts independently. If you believe a child’s information was submitted without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, remove it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our features or data practices change. We will publish the revised date here and provide an additional notice when a significant change requires it. Eventigo operates in Malaysia and handles personal data subject to applicable Malaysian privacy requirements.
12. Contact
For questions, complaints, access, correction or deletion requests, contact Eventigo via eventigo.my/contact-us/. Please identify your Eventigo account email so we can locate your records securely.
